Die Arbeit „indes träumend vor sich hin“ untersucht die Wohnung als Resonanzkörper der Alltäglichkeiten, individueller Mythologien und zeitgenössischer Heiligenbilder, die darin zurückgeworfen werden.
Weil sich heute alles "spirituell" aufladen und damit sakralisieren lässt, kann die Frage nur lauten: Wie zeigt sich im sogenannten Heiligen ein universeller Geist? Es geht bei Heiligenbildern um mehr als ein subjektives Empfinden. Im kollektiven Verständnis liegt die Anziehungskraft und die Macht, Profanem Mystik zuzusprechen.
Es geht darum, ob eine Gesellschaft ohne die Kategorie des Heiligen überhaupt eine Ethik zementieren kann, die das heutige Leben mit all seinen Extremen zu bändigen weiß. Die Rede vom Heiligen ist also gerade nicht ein verstaubtes, rückwärtsgewandtes Streben von traditionellen Frömmlern, sondern benennt eine Sehnsucht, die vielen Menschen innewohnt, eine unsichtbare Kirche in und um alles zu errichten.

The work „indes träumend vor sich hin“ examines the apartment as a resonance body of everyday life, individual mythologies and contemporary images of saints that are thrown back in it.
Because today everything can be "spiritually" charged and thus sacralised, the question can only be: How does a universal spirit appear in the so-called sacred? Images of saints are about more than a subjective feeling. In the collective understanding lies the attraction and the power to attribute mysticism to the profane.
The point is whether a society without the category of the sacred can even cement an ethic that knows how to tame today's life with all its extremes. The talk of the saint is not a dusty, backward-looking striving by traditional bigots, but rather describes a longing that many people have to build an invisible church in and around everything.
