Künstlerischer Hauptkurs mit Ersan Mondtag
Entgegen der gängigen Praxis, sollte in diesem Lehrformat zuerst eine visuelle Konzeption entwickelt werden und sich die Inhalte nach dieser richten. Die Kursteilnehmer*innen begannen ohne Textvorlage und versuchten an Hand meist räumlicher Überlegungen, mögliche Inhalte zu erproben. Die visuelle Konzeption begründet sich in der Art bildnerischen Setzung im Zusammenspiel mit inhaltlichen Festlegungen. Teilweise haben sich die Kursteilnehmer*innen tiefgehend mit der ganzheitlichen Konzeption einer Theateraufführung oder auch immersiven Aufführungsformen auseinandergesetzt. Im Zentrum des Kurses blieben jedoch die bühnen- und kostümbildnerische Entwürfe mittels Modell und Figurine. Immer mehr spielen dabei die digitalen Möglichkeiten eine wichtige Rolle. Sowohl im Entwurfsprozess und der Visualisierung als auch in Aufführungsform selbst.

Eine Dystopie - die Welt kennt keine Individuen mehr, nur noch KonsumentInnen und ArbeiterInnen. Jeder will dazugehören, mit dem Strom schwimmen, etwas großes Erreichen. Optimierung der Optimierung ist das Stichwort. So machen wir uns sukzessive selbst immer mehr zu Marionetten des Systems. Ein Labor, dass auf das Leben der Figuren zurückblickt und testet wie kompatibel sie mit dem herrschenden System sind. Die dort ausgestellten Zertifikate sind wissenschaftliche, psychologische Berichte, die den eigenen „Marktwert“ steigern sollen und fast in allen Bereichen gefordert werden. Die Figuren sind keine Personen, die am Rande der Gesellschaft stehen. Viel mehr sind es Menschen die zum Mainstream gehören - die in diesem System schon Erfolge und Niederlagen erlebt haben. Es geht um das richtige Bewusstsein und darum, wie man durch den Drang danach immer dazugehören zu wollen, mehr und mehr seine eigene Individualität verliert. Im Fokus liegt der Identitätsverlust - der gläsernen Mensch und die verankerte Vergeblichkeit den aufdiktierten Strukturen zu entkommen. Ein Dokument des schmerzhaften Scheiterns.

Artistic main course with Ersan Mondtag
Contrary to common practice, in this teaching format a visual conception was to be developed first and the content was to be based on this. The course participants began without a text and tried to test possible contents on the basis of mostly spatial considerations. The visual conception is based on the kind of pictorial setting in interaction with the content. In some cases, the course participants dealt in depth with the holistic conception of a theater performance or immersive forms of performance. However, stage and costume designs using models and figurines remained at the center of the course. Increasingly, digital possibilities are playing an important role. Both in the design process and the visualization as well as in the performance itself.

A dystopia - the world no longer knows individuals, only consumers and workers. Everyone wants to belong, to go with the flow, to achieve something big. Optimization of optimization is the keyword. In this way, we successively make ourselves more and more puppets of the system. A laboratory that looks back on the lives of the characters and tests how compatible they are with the ruling system. The certificates issued there are scientific, psychological reports that are supposed to increase one's own "market value" and are required in almost all areas. The characters are not people who are on the fringes of society. They are much more people who belong to the mainstream - who have already experienced successes and defeats in this system. It is about the right consciousness and about how one loses more and more of one's own individuality through the urge to always want to belong. The focus is on the loss of identity - the glass human being and the anchored futility of escaping the imposed structures. A document of painful failure.
