weißensee – Hochschulwebseite SS 2021
The aim of this student-initiated project in the summer semester 2021 was to develop proposals, strategies and designs for a contemporary and appropriate website, initially in an open-ended and explorative manner. The website of weißensee kunsthochschule berlin has been online for fifteen years and is no longer up to date.
An important part of the work was to evaluate and include different perspectives. To begin with, an analysis of the current state was carried out, for which the students compiled and evaluated a university-wide survey. Furthermore, possible functionalities of the website, experiments with the existing appearance, different personas and design jouneys were developed in the form of short design sprints. The result is twelve designs that are presented in the form of animated user journeys.
The project is deliberately open-ended. Based on the analysis of the current situation and concrete prototypes, a process is to be initiated that will certainly not end with this semester.
